Tessa was a most wonderful caring wife, mother, sister, Nan, aunt and friend.
She was always there to care for, love, support, encourage and guide and will be remembered for her kindness and friendliness to all.
Horses were her lifelong love from a little girl right through to the end of her life. She shared and encouraged this love in her children and grandchildren through some much loved and cared for ponies.
Animals in general were her passion and she always had a rescue dog at her side and shared many dog walks with her friends.
Tennis was her main activity in later life and she made very many good friends through the sport. She also became a very good Bridge player and was very modest, always seeming suprised when she won the prize for the night.
Tessa had a love of nature enjoying walking, bird watching and turning her garden into a beautiful year long place of colour and life.
Tessa’s diagnosis of ovarian cancer came far too late. Looking back with hindsight she had classic symtoms for several years. All were missed. Anything we can do to raise awareness of this most terrible disease must be done. We must raise awareness of the public and healthcare professionals to spot the disease at an earlier stage, so treatment has more chance of a successful outcome.
Please support Ovarian Cancer Action to fight against Ovarian cancer. Thank you.
With love and fond memories
